        ARTISTIC LIBERTY COMMISSIONS

        Artistic Liberty is a offer based commission that's designed by Salt Valley Creations with a small amount of input from the commissioner.
        An Artistic Liberty commission is a great option for those that like SVC's work but don't currently have there own design ready to commission or just wants a fursuit designed by SVC.        Commissioner choses a species, theme, favorite color and/or makes an inspiration/mood board.
        Salt Valley Creations then makes a character design based on those choices and revises until the commissioner is happy with the final look; then the design is made into a fursuit!        Artistic Liberty Commissions are open year round
        and are accepted based on current work load and engaging ideas that yield best turn around times.
        Fullsuits are not currently available for artistic liberty commissions.        Email SVC with offer amount or for more information.

        Terms of Service

        Requirements
        Must be 18 years or older. Salt Valley Creations reserves the right to ask for I.Ds for verification.
        Parent permission is required for minors.
        The purchase of a fursuit is not advised for minors, due to the possibility of out-growing the work.        Reference/Concept Art
        A reference sheet or concept art is required with exceptions for artistic liberty.
        An accurate reference shows front, back and sides(minimum front and back) with accurate colors, and markings; digital is preferred.
        Changes to the reference sheet are not advised after being accepted for commission; design changes require an extra fee.        Quotes and Price
        If accepted you will be given a quoted price based on your concept and what features and specifications are given.
        After you accept the quoted price payment in full or 25% is due within 72 hours to claim the slot; if payment is not received within the 72 hours your project will be voided.
        Payment plans up to 4 months are available.
        Payment will be done only through PayPal.
        Failure of payment will result in your project being dropped.        Refunds and Repairs
        100% refund available before project started.
        25% is non-refundable once materials for your project have been purchased.
        50% is non-refundable once your project has been started.
        No refunds once you have received the completed product; with exceptions for maker error.
        Salt Valley Creations reserves the right to drop any project at any time for any reason; 100% refund.
        Any repairs needed within 90 days will be fixed for free, after 90 days cost of repairs will be charged based on what's needed.        Turn Around Time and Deadlines
        Turn around time is typically 2-6 months from start to finish with exceptions, and is not guaranteed.
        Deadlines are also not guaranteed.
        Salt Valley Creations reserves the right to put any projects on hold at any time for any reason.        Shipping
        Shipping is not included in quote price. Shipping costs will be calculated after completion.

        How do I know when you're open for commissions?
        Commission openings are announced at least a month in advance on all social platforms.        Do you make bodysuits/fullsuits?

        Salt Valley Creations (SVC) is only willing to make free fursuits for official charities, charity events and raffles hosted by SVC.        Will you copy the style of another maker?
        No.        Will you fur a head base from another maker/Can I send my own fur for a commission?
        Yes but it's not preferred. Only in special cases.

        FURSUIT CARE & CLEANING

        YES! Just like anything else you wear fursuits need to be cleaned!

        Cleaning Your FursuitSalt Valley Creations fursuit heads are hand wash only.
        Submerging your fursuit head is NOT recommended.        Start with choosing a light/delicate fabric cleaner/disinfectant or detergent do not use fabric softener.In a new clean spray bottle dilute cleaner/disinfectant or detergent with water, 10%-25% depending on the strength of the cleaner then the rest with cold water. Do not use hot water.Spray mixture onto a rag and wipe down the head inside and out and the rest of your partial, be sure to avoid the eyes.
        A small handheld carpet cleaner with the same mixture can also be used, make sure there is a no heat setting before using.        Dry your fursuit in a well ventilated area, preferably in front of a fan and with a dehumidifier running.
        Do not use heat to dry. A no heat tumble dry in a cloths dryer can be used to dry all parts except the head.
        Brush fur during and after the drying process.        You can use a little of your favorite fursuit spray when your done for a fun fresh scent!

        Care Information

        Brushing Your Fursuit
        Brushing your fursuit is a very important part of keeping your suit well maintained.
        Let's start with what kind of brush to use. Salt Valley Creations does not recommend using a slicker brush due to their tendency to thin the fur or even cause bald spots in some instances.
        Slicker brushes should only be used in extreme cases of matting. In the case of extreme matting first try gently using a wide tooth comb, if that doesn't work you can very gently use a slicker brush with a small amount of hair conditioner: be sure to wash out all conditioner when done.
        If you insist on using a slicker brush Salt Valley Creations recommends using one with coated tips.        What brush do you recommend? I'm glad you asked!
        Salt Valley Creations highly recommends using a double sided pin and bristle brush! The pin side for brushing any long fur and the bristle side for short and shaved fur.        Brushing your fursuit before and after each wear can not only greatly improve the appearance of your suit it will also decrees the chances of matting.Storing Your Fursuit
        Properly storing your fursuit is important for ensuring the longevity of your fursuit.
        You should store your fursuit a clean, dry and well ventilated area.
        Heads should be upright on a shelf, table or head mount.
        HandPaws and tails can be hung from clothing hangers.
        FeetPaws should be on a shelf or shoe rack.
        All parts of your fursuit should be kept out of direct sunlight.
        Storing your fursuit in a tote is not recommended.        Traveling With Yor Fursuit
        It's recommended you get a suitcase or travel case large enough to comfortably fit your entire fursuit.
        Some like to keep a tracking device like an Apple Airtag with their fursuit when traveling.
        You can also vacuum seal your fursuit excluding the head to save space.

        What to Wear with your Fursuit

        What should I wear while fursuiting? Whatever makes you the most comfortable!
        Fursuiting can be quite intense and exhausting. The chance of over heating is a concern you should be aware of, so wearing something your comfortable in is very important!        It's completely up to you what to wear. Salt Valley Creations recommends testing your options and finding what works best for you!Some find wearing a high quality moisture-wicking balaclava under the head helps with keeping cool, but others may find it uncomfortable.
        Many like to use small portable fans that fit in the mouth of the fursuit head.        Some prefer to not show any skin when partial fursuiting and will choose to wear long sleeves and pants. Others find short sleeves and shorts helps keeps them cool when partial fursuiting called "Poodling".
        Salt Valley Creations 100% supports poodling especially in the hot summer months!        Salt Valley Creations doesn't currently make bodysuits but if you do own one you can wear anything you like under it. Including but not limited to Under Armour, cooling vests, athletic wear, a t-shirt and shorts, sports bra and leggings, etc.!
